Micon’s audit procedure is based on its knowledge of the key technical and economic factors which influence the profitability of mining operations, including estimation of geology and grade control, mine planning and scheduling, drilling and blasting, mining operations and mineral processing.
During an audit, Micon’s mining engineers will conduct time and motion studies to highlight any gaps or bottlenecks in the loading and hauling cycles corresponding to digability, hauling distances or requirements of the primary crusher.
Following the audit, Micon will make recommendations to optimise production, save costs and follow up any changes to the mine design or schedule, drill and blast parameters, load and haul fleet to ensure that the cost savings that have been identified are realized and sustainable.
If you have an open pit or underground mining operation, please contact your nearest Micon office to hear more about the services Micon can offer.
