DORFNER ANZAPLAN GmbH and MICON International Limited are pleased to announce the formation of M.PLAN International Limited, which will provide a unique and fully integrated suite of consulting services explicitly focused on the specialty commodity sector.

By joining the services portfolio of its internationally recognized parent firms, M.Plan covers the spectrum of geology and exploration, mineral resource and reserve estimation, mine design, process development and engineering, metallurgy, environmental assessment, market intelligence and economic analysis.

Based in Toronto, Canada, M.PLAN will assist clients to develop their projects in the industrial minerals, specialty minerals and rare metals sectors seamlessly from preliminary economic assessment through pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
Key features include:

  • Preparation of project studies from initial assessment through to final feasibility study.
  • Integration of the results of detailed mineralogical analysis and processing testwork with geological exploration and mineral resource estimation.
  • Detailed knowledge of the specialty commodity sector to provide market analysis and specification of end-products.
  • Preparation of independent technical reports as required under the recognized standards of Canadian National Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101) and the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code).

In addition, M.PLAN provides independent technical due diligence review of specialty commodity projects and operations on behalf of owners, investors and financial institutions.

Specialty Commodity Sector

The specialty commodity sector includes minerals and metals used in a wide range of high value strategic, industrial and consumer applications. Non-metallurgical properties of industrial mineral and specialty mineral products are valued in microelectronics, semiconductors, bio ceramics, and optical and communication systems while rare metals are required for renewable energy generation and storage components, such as high intensity magnets, batteries and capacitors, as well as energy saving devices such as light-emitting diodes. A partial list of minerals and metals of interest include high purity quartz, graphite, lithium, diatomite, rutile, silicon, tungsten, niobium, molybdenum, zirconium, tantalum, rare earth elements and high purity alumina.

Management

Management of M.Plan will be undertaken by Dr. Reiner Haus, PD Dr.rer.nat, EMBA, and Ms. Jane Spooner, M.Sc., P.Geo. Dr. Haus has a background in applied and engineering geology and is Managing Director of Anzaplan. Ms. Spooner has a degree in geology, specializes in mineral market analysis and is a Vice President with Micon. Many of M.PLAN´s staff are Qualified Persons in terms of NI 43-101,
Both Anzaplan and Micon have been in business continually for more than 30 years.
